North Shore Ohana is awesome!
Called up Zack in the morning as was surfing in the afternoon. Took three teenagers and myself (55 year old), and Zack got us all up and surfing almost immediately. Great at selecting the right ways for each of us. Great pointers on what we were doing wrong.
Also a super chill instructor, yet a very good coach at the same time.
Could not recommend enough.

I have taken at least a half dozen surf lessons from various places (I'm a bit of a slow learner) with varying success, but my lesson with Zack was definitely on another level. He was so patient detailed in how he taught and observed each wave I caught, so I was able to correct things as I went. Over the two hours we spent, he helped me catch nearly every wave I went for (which has NEVER happened), and given me a new excitement for surfing I haven't had for a while! Thanks, Zack!

We had the best experience with North Shore Ohana Surf School. Zack and his buddies were absolutely amazing with our family. Our lesson was the highlight of everyone's trip. There were 5 of us ranging ages 6-33. They were so sweet and accommodating to our 6-year-old girl who was a little timid at first but ended up having the best time. Our 9-year-old son did outstanding and developed a love for surfing all thanks to the instruction from the guys. I cannot express enough how much we enjoyed this experience. It wasn't your typical tour guided lesson/activity. We felt like we were locals for the day and cannot wait to do it again.
